1 Challenge
In late June, I, and a team from In2Out, our friends and supporters, are going to take on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise £20,000 to provide staff to support young people leaving custody and returning to the Midlands. In2Out has had a presence in the Midlands since 2023, but the demand is such that we need to scale that up to be able to support all those young people desperate for resettlement mentoring across the region. Young people like Liam who told one of our staff recently, "I've been working with In2Out since July last year. They helped
me out incredibly, resettling back into community, getting my mindset out of the
trenches I was in before, adjusting to proper society. They have been a really big
help when I've been struggling. I can rely on them. I just wanted to say I'm grateful
for the help.”

Raising £20,000
to support young people leaving prison and returning to the Midlands
The Challenge - Climb the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa) in 24 hours. What that actually breaks down to is approximately 23 miles of hiking (including over 3,000 metres of elevation which is like 1,000 flights of house stairs), plus the 460 miles of driving between the mountains - all within 24 hours. Assuming everything goes to plan, the climb on the last mountain (Snowdon) needs to be started in the dark. It's going to be tight! And that's before we factor the weather in.
